Overview Attractions Properties Branches

Sinoville is certainly one of the oldest suburbs on the northern side of Pretoria, but typically middle-classed and more old-fashioned in style residential area.  It was predominantly a farming and small-holdings area for many years but over time it has been re-developed to suit modern housing demands.  There are a number of larger, well maintained, higher end properties to consider but first-time owners, single and younger residents - even those persons heading toward retirement - can choose from a selection of townhouse complexes, simplexes and smaller modern houses.  One will notice that many of the houses are still classically styled, so older in design, offering larger stands and homes alike, often with at least 3 or 4 bedrooms, large gardens and swimming pools.

Within Sinoville one will find the basic amenities such as schools and a few retirement facilities, but only a minutes' drive out, residents have access not only to the centre of Pretoria, but any facility that young and old, persons on the move and those that are more home-bound can ask for.

The beautiful Magaliesberg Mountain range, the great divide between Pretoria and life to the north, lies as the backdrop to Sinoville on its southern side while further out north, the landscape slowly starts to transcend into bushveld shrub and trees as the lowveld leads toward Limpopo and further on toward the Kruger National Park.

CLIMATE:

Lying at the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountain range, Sinoville is likely one of the most tropical areas of Pretoria.  The large gardens on the older properties and open areas have retained the naturally green environment, especially abundant during summer, when temperatures can easily reach 35 degrees Celsius.  Fortunately, afternoon showers are the norm which helps in breaking the heat of the day followed by comfortable summer evenings.  Winter mornings can be cold bringing with it the possibility of frost on the odd occasion.  But as is typical in Tshwane, winter days become warmer toward the late morning and afternoons.

DISTANCE FROM SINOVILLE TO THE PRETORIA CBD:

  • Via M5: 22 minutes / 13 kms
  • Via R101: 22 minutes / 13 kms
  • Via Es'kia Mphahlele Dr / M1: 25 minutes / 16 kms

MAJOR ACCESS ROUTES:

Sinoville enjoys access to the N1 highway to the east via the Zambezi Toll Plaza, while travelling in a north westerly direction it can join the M4 via the R101.  It also has access to the M1 and M5 providing easy entry into the Pretoria CBD and its neighbours, lying on the southern slope of the Magaliesberg Mountain range such as Wonderboom, Rietfontein and Gezina.

The main thoroughfares for Sinoville include Braam Pretorius Street as well as Sefako Makgatlo Drive, which is also one of the main roads in this greater area providing easy access to the most sought-after amenities available throughout its neighbouring suburbs.
